Due to our unrivalled local experience of the property market we were continually being approached by Developers and small builders alike, searching for land opportunities and we therefore created our Land & New Homes Department in 1998. Since then we have been involved in the identification, sale or acquisition of some of the most interesting residential development schemes in our area. They have ranged from prestigious Seafront and Riverside developments to more conventional housing schemes and single units in back garden ‘in fills’ plots.

We are able to offer Landowners ‘feasibility appraisals’ in order to try and identify potential development opportunities, whether within their existing ownership or in conjunction with adjacent owners. We work in conjunction with Town Planning Consultants and other Professional Advisors and if the prospect looks favourable we work alongside them to offer advice and guidance in order to maximise the potential opportunity, to overcome any obstacles and ultimately obtain a successful planning consent.

One of our main strengths is our ability to successfully market development opportunities to the developers and builders that are registered with us, in some cases without any advertising or general marketing. The benefit of this discreet style of marketing for Landowners is that only serious prospective purchasers are introduced to opportunities. This has proven to be one of the best ways of achieving premium sale prices as Developers and builders have to invest heavily when contemplating the purchase and a negotiated sale saves them time and wasted expense in the face of the circumstances attached to mass marketing or a ‘Dutch Auction’.
