Angmering is a highly desirable West Sussex village that perfectly balances countryside charm with modern convenience. Situated between the South Downs National Park and the coast, and just a short drive from Rustington, East Preston and Littlehampton, Angmering offers a peaceful village setting while remaining exceptionally well connected to the wider region.

The historic village centre retains much of its character, with period buildings, a traditional village square and a welcoming community atmosphere. Residents benefit from a selection of local shops, cafés, pubs and everyday amenities, along with healthcare facilities and leisure opportunities. The village has grown thoughtfully in recent years, with attractive new developments complementing established residential roads and character properties, making it popular with families, professionals and retirees alike.

One of Angmering’s greatest attractions is its proximity to the South Downs National Park. The surrounding countryside provides miles of scenic walking, cycling and riding routes, while nearby beaches at East Preston and Rustington are just a short drive away. This unique position allows residents to enjoy both rural and coastal lifestyles.

Angmering is particularly appealing to families thanks to its well-regarded schools. Angmering Primary School serves younger children within the village and has a strong local reputation. For secondary education, The Angmering School is a popular choice, offering a broad curriculum and extensive extracurricular opportunities. There are also several respected independent schools within easy reach, including Lancing College and Great Ballard School.

For commuters, Angmering railway station provides direct services to London Victoria, Brighton, Worthing and Chichester, while the A27 offers convenient road access along the south coast and towards Gatwick Airport. Despite its excellent transport links, the village maintains a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

With its blend of historic character, modern housing, strong schooling options and outstanding access to both countryside and coast, Angmering continues to be one of the most sought-after locations in the area, offering an exceptional quality of life for residents of all ages.
